LDS Young Men Organization Tracker
Ever been called to serve as Young Mens' Secretary and not know what is really expected? A Young Mens' Secreatry is called to keep the Young Mens' organization in order helping each of the youth advance through Duty to God, Boy Scouts and prepare to become righteous testimony-filled Melchizedek Priesthood holders.
The attached program is version 1.0 of a proof of concept for using a Microsoft Access database to keep track of key activities that LDS Young Men may be actively engaged. The first version keeps track of Bishopric interviews, talks given in sacrament meeting, BSA advancement and ordinance history. Individual contact sheets are created for each young man. When updated these sheets may be given to Quorum President's or adult leaders for a snapshot of each youth in their organization..
Future Development
If there is interest in updates to this application, please let me know. Already I can envision better adult leadership interfaces, campout and tour application preparation, more complete BSA rechartering information and the list goes on.
I've not served as YM Secretary, but I have served in a Bishopric and as a Young Mens' President in the past. My perspective has only been from this vantage point. If you are a currently serving as a YM Secretary or otherwise have suggestion please share those.
